Week 5 Recap / Week 6 Picks

Last two weeks : 6-3-1, which still does make me one more solid week away from where I would want to be, which of course is having a winning record. There are some great games this weekend in both the NCAA and the NFL. Teams such as #7 Auburn vs. #12 Arkansas on Saturday to teams that are desperate like the Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys who will play Sunday. Should be a wild one for sure.

NCAA Picks

Auburn -4 over Arkansas - I think Arkansas is a great team, but Auburn is even better.  Auburn QB Cam Newton is big, fast, and doesn't make to many mistakes. Arkansas' schedule thus far has been brutal and this is a game that doesn't get much easier for them.  Auburn by a tight margin.

Nevada -7 over Hawaii - Nevada has exploded onto the scene this year while Hawaii still remains to be the same ol team they always  produce. Hawaii is going to throw the ball a whole lot, let up a whole lot of points, and since this isn't a D3 college type competition there facing, there going to lose this game at home.

NFL Picks

Eagles -2.5 over Falcons - Kevin Kolb is almost certainly not going to be the starting QB once Michael Vick returns, so he better make his time count. Atlanta is off to a strong 4-1 record, but they don't play nearly as well on the road as they have in there home wins. I like Philly in this one.

Bears - 6.5 over Seahawks - Jay Cutler should be healthy enough to play Sunday which is not good for the Seahawks defense. Although the Seahawks have been pretty surprising so far this year, I do feel the Chicago Bears are at least a touchdown better than this team. Take the Bears with the points.

Lock of the Week

Titans -3 over Jaguars - Titans RB Chris Johnson is a beast, so being on the big stage like Monday Night Football makes me feel like he is going to kick it into over drive. The Jaguars are playing over there heads right now, and getting the Titans in this one only giving three points seems like highway robbery.
