Tennessee -3 over Kentucky - Tennessee needs a win to become bowl eligible and in a battle, i think they find a way to get it done. Kentucky is 1-3 on the road this season which also makes this pick feel a little safer.
Tennessee 24 Kentucky 14 W
Michigan St -1.5 over Penn St - Penn St is having a tough year while the Spartans are having one of the best years in their schools history. Only giving 1.5, I like them to take car of business on the road.
Michigan State 28 Penn St 22 W
NC State -2 over Maryland - Although NC State doesn't ever seem to win in convincing fashion, they still seem to get it done when it counts. NC State only giving two here kind of seems like a steal and defiantly worth looking at.
Oklahoma +3 over OK State - Oklahoma is on the road in this game but they have a defense that can contain the insanely good Oklahoma state offense. I expect a very close game, but I look to see the Sooners end up on top.
Lock of the Week
LSU + 3.5 over Arkansas- LSU has only one loss in the SEC yet they are an underdog to Arkansas on a neutral field. I don't get it but I'll take it and hope that LSU's defense can hold off Arkansas QB Ryan Mallet.

NFL Special
Since the semsester is coming to a close I am going to end the blog with a final week of just NFL picks this week, and NCAA picks next week.
Falcons - 3.5 over Rams - The Rams have played well this season ( compared to a 1 win season last year) but the Falcons are on fire right now and I don't see them slowing down in this one. Roddy White and Matt Ryan will get it done on the road.
49ers - 3.5 over Buccaneers- The 49ers need this one to keep their season alive, it won't be easy for them considering the Bucs have played great so far this year. Call me crazy but I'm taking the desperate 49ers over the hot Tampa Bay squad.
Patriots -3.5 over Colts - I'm a huge Patriots fan so of course I'm never going to pick the rival Colts to win this match-up. The Colts are banged up on both sides of the ball, so I expect the Patriot offense to exploit them early and often.
Lock of the Week
Giants +3.5 over Eagles - I know everyone has jumpe don the Eagles bandwagon and I can't say I blame them, but the Giants have got to get a win here. After getting destroyed by the lowly Cowboys last weekend they are looking for revenge, and I think they are going to make Vick target number one.

Week 9 Recap / Week 10 Picks
Well that was fast... one week later I'm right back to .500 (20-20) and looking to get over the hump once and for good.
NCAA Picks
South Carolina + 6.5 over Florida - South Carolina took a beating last weekend, but I don't see why Florida deserves to be a 6.5 point favorite versus anybody in the SEC this year. They are inconsistent and they always seem to have trouble putting points on the board. Take South Carolina with the points.
Stanford -5.5 over Arizona St - Arizona State is a good team for sure... but Stanford is a great team. With only 5.5 and with the best QB in the nation, I'm going to stay on this bandwagon for another week.
NFL Picks
Jets -3 over Browns - I despise the Browns and it certainly doesn't help when they mopped the floor with the Patriots last weekend. Having said that, it has to be a joke that the Jets are only a 3 point favorite. The Jets D will give the Browns offense all it can handle in this one.
Chiefs -1 over Broncos - The Chiefs have come out of nowhere this season and look to be a legit playoff contender. The Broncos on the other hand look to have taken a GIANT leap in the wrong direction. The Chiefs will look to run all over them and then have Matt Cassel throw 5 yard touchdown passes to seal it for the win.
Lock of the Week
Buccaneers - 7 over Panthers - The Panthers have their 3rd STRING running back getting the start, to go along with a rookie quarterback. So basically the Panthers are playing to lose so they can be in line to get the #1 overall pick in this yrs draft. Take the improving Bucs over the pathetic Panthers.
NCAA Picks

Week 8 Recap/ Week 9 Picks
Solid week last week = An over .500 record... finally. Both the NFL and NCAA have brutal games coming up and already look like it's going to be tough to pick this week, so I'm hoping this new achievement isn't a brief accomplishment.
NCAA Picks
South Carolina -4.5 over Arkansas - Should be a battle but with Arkansas star WR Childs out for the season, Arkansas has to figure out how to play without him. To big of a test for for the Razorbacks on the road and in a hostile environment. South Carolina by a touchdown.
Stanford - 8.5 over Arizona - Stanford QB Andrew Luck has been a beast this year, while the Arizona Wildcats are still unsure if there starting QB is even ready to go or not at this point. Stanford looks solid this year and I look for them to continue there dominance on a hurting, but talented Arizona squad.
USC - 5 over Arizona St - USC held there own for a while with Oregon last week... Until Oregon decided to go on a tear yet again which they seem to do versus everybody this year. Arizona St isn't bad but for USC to lose two in a row at home just doesn't seem realistic. Go with the Trojans.
NFL Picks
Patriots -4.5 over Browns - I'm sick of hearing that this is a ''trap'' game for the Patriots. They are playing an offensive offense and a defense that will look lost versus a great Patriots offense. Patriots soundly take this one.
Saints - 6.5 over Panthers - Saints are coming off a huge win over the Steelers, and then they get an early Christmas gift in playing the horrendous Carolina Panthers one week after. Although the Saints don't have much of a run game, it won't be needed when Brees throws for 300 plus yards and has at least 2 TD's on this team. Saints on the road win big.
Jets -4 over Lions - Although the Lions have looked better ( and I did win with them last week) there are just simply outmatched in this one. Revis will be smothering Calvin Johnson and Stafford will probably spend more time on the ground than he does standing up. Jets to talented on both sides of the ball for the improving Lions.
Lock of the Week
Giants - 7 over Seahawks - The Giants are relentless at getting to the Quarterback, and Seattle has no choice but to start back-up Charlie Whitehurst this week. I expect this to be a real ugly one, and poor Charlie might need a medic on stand by when this is all said and done.
NCAA Picks
South Carolina -4.5 over Arkansas - Should be a battle but with Arkansas star WR Childs out for the season, Arkansas has to figure out how to play without him. To big of a test for for the Razorbacks on the road and in a hostile environment. South Carolina by a touchdown.

Week 7 Recap / Week 8 Picks
A 2-3 record last week ( Thanks to Iowa choking at the end and the Cowboys always finding a way to lose). Looking for a solid bounce back week to finally get over the .500 mark.
NCAA Picks
Clemson - 7 over Boston College - Clemson has finally come around from there slow start, while the BC Eagles have continued to struggle all season. BC's offense doesn't even put up 20 ppg, while the Clemson Tigers put up over 30. I like Clemson on the road in this one.
Nebraska - 7 over Missouri - Missouri has looked rock solid last weekend as they upset the Oklahoma Sooners, unfortunately for them there luck has run out. For them to beat Oklahoma one week and Nebraska the next seems unrealistic to say the least. Take Nebraska in a shoot out here.
NFL Picks
Lions - 2 over Redskins - The Lions have a terrible record ( 1-5) but don't let that fool you. This team has improved on both sides of the ball this year and there playing a Redskins team who are good but banged up this week. Lions QB Matthew Stafford is back and ready to go, which is exactly what this team needs. I like the Lions by a small margin in this one.
Packers +6 over Jets - Anytime you can get the Packers GETTING 6 POINTS you take it. The Jets can certainly be considered one of if not the best team in the NFL, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers need this one more and I think they'll find a way to get it.
Lock of the Week
Miami+ 1.5 over Bengals - The Dolphins were one bad call away from beating the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, yet there an underdog to the struggling Bengals? I don't get it one bit but I'll take this freebie.
NCAA Picks
Clemson - 7 over Boston College - Clemson has finally come around from there slow start, while the BC Eagles have continued to struggle all season. BC's offense doesn't even put up 20 ppg, while the Clemson Tigers put up over 30. I like Clemson on the road in this one.

Week 6 Recap / Week 7 Picks
A winning record for the third straight week is good, but it still doesn't change the fact that I'm under .500 as of now. Auburn, Titans, and Philly all looked great last week, but I don't plan on picking any of them in this upcoming week. With that being said, here's what I'm going with.
NCAA Picks
Oklahoma -3 over Missouri - Missouri has looked great so far this year with a 6-0 record, but they haven't been challenged like they're about to be this Saturday versus a very athletic Oklahoma squad. Both teams put a good amount of points ( both over 30 ppg) and both defenses let up less than 20 ppg. With that being said, I like Oklahoma to remain #1 and take care of Missouri.
Iowa - 5.5 over Wisconsin - Iowa is at home, are 4-1 against the spread this year, and they have the best defensive line in the country who are more than capable of containing Wisconsin's powerful running game. I don't expect this game to be very high scoring, but I do expect Iowa to come out on top.
NFL Picks
Cowboys - 3 over Giants - The Cowboys literally have no choice but to win this game. It's pretty simple if they lose, they're almost certainly not going to make the playoffs this season and a whole lot of players and coach's will be looking for jobs. Every single one of there loses this season has come by 7 or less points which is unacceptable. Every week they have found a new way to shoot themselves in the foot, they have got to clean it up. It's at home and it is the Monday Night Football game this week so once again the pressure is on, but in the end, the Cowboys will finally get themselves on the right track.
Patriots + 3 over Chargers - The Pats have looked great as of late, while the Chargers have looked like a complete mess. They have been facing a lot of injuries, and with WR Vincent Jackson still holding out, I don't think they have enough weapons on offense to even beat the Patriots, let alone getting the Patriots with 3 points.
Lock of The Week
Michigan State - 5.5 over Northwestern - Michigan State's last 3 opponents have been vs Illinois, at Michigan, and vs Wisconsin, and they beat all of those teams by 10 or more points. They have shown time and time again that they are a talented team and they find a way to get it done each and every week, and I don't see that changing this week either.
Michigan State 35 Northwestern 27 W
NCAA Picks
Oklahoma -3 over Missouri - Missouri has looked great so far this year with a 6-0 record, but they haven't been challenged like they're about to be this Saturday versus a very athletic Oklahoma squad. Week 5 Recap / Week 6 Picks
Last two weeks : 6-3-1, which still does make me one more solid week away from where I would want to be, which of course is having a winning record. There are some great games this weekend in both the NCAA and the NFL. Teams such as #7 Auburn vs. #12 Arkansas on Saturday to teams that are desperate like the Minnesota Vikings vs. Dallas Cowboys who will play Sunday. Should be a wild one for sure.
NCAA Picks
Auburn -4 over Arkansas - I think Arkansas is a great team, but Auburn is even better. Auburn QB Cam Newton is big, fast, and doesn't make to many mistakes. Arkansas' schedule thus far has been brutal and this is a game that doesn't get much easier for them. Auburn by a tight margin.
Nevada -7 over Hawaii - Nevada has exploded onto the scene this year while Hawaii still remains to be the same ol team they always produce. Hawaii is going to throw the ball a whole lot, let up a whole lot of points, and since this isn't a D3 college type competition there facing, there going to lose this game at home.
NFL Picks
Eagles -2.5 over Falcons - Kevin Kolb is almost certainly not going to be the starting QB once Michael Vick returns, so he better make his time count. Atlanta is off to a strong 4-1 record, but they don't play nearly as well on the road as they have in there home wins. I like Philly in this one.
Bears - 6.5 over Seahawks - Jay Cutler should be healthy enough to play Sunday which is not good for the Seahawks defense. Although the Seahawks have been pretty surprising so far this year, I do feel the Chicago Bears are at least a touchdown better than this team. Take the Bears with the points.
Lock of the Week
Titans -3 over Jaguars - Titans RB Chris Johnson is a beast, so being on the big stage like Monday Night Football makes me feel like he is going to kick it into over drive. The Jaguars are playing over there heads right now, and getting the Titans in this one only giving three points seems like highway robbery.
