3 Wins and a Tie last weekend is definitely a step in the right direction. Another week similar to that and I'm right back on track. Here's what I got my eye on in Week 5.
NCAA Picks
Arkansas -6 over Texas A&M - Texas A&M put up a great fight last Thursday Night against Oklahoma State, but the Arkansas Razorbacks are a horse of a different color. Arkansas has played some of the best teams in the country this season and certainly held their own in every one of those games. Texas A&M hasn't had a test like this yet, and I don't think they are going to like the result either.
Arkansas 24 Texas A&M 17 W
Nebraska -11 over Kansas State - Giving 11 points is usually scary but this seems like the year the Nebraska Cornhuskers finally get over the hump and once again become a powerhouse program. Neither team has played much competition so far this year so they are both going up against there toughest task yet. Nebraska on the road, will get it done on the big stage tonight by at least two touchdowns.
Nebraska 48 Kansas St 13 W
NFL Picks
Colts -8.5 over Chiefs - The Colts will not lose this game. Period. The Colts cannot afford to lose at home to a team playing well over their head. The Chiefs are the only team in the NFL that is undefeated.... of course until Sunday arrives.
Colts 19 Chiefs 9 W
Saints - 7 over Cardinals - The Cardinals are starting rookie QB Max Hall this weekend vs. the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints. What team in their right mind decides to start a rookie in a time like this? No pressure kid, just go out there and beat the champs in your first career start. Not to mention he's going up against a Top Ten ranked defense. The Saints' offensive attack on the other hand, hasn't been nearly as good as the year before, but I still love them only having to give up 7 points to what looks like a disintegrating Cardinals team. Good luck Max Hall, you will certainly need it.
Cardinals 30 Saints 20 L
Lock of the Week
Alabama - 7 over South Carolina - Alabama is like a NFL team trapped in College Football. I could pick them every single week and feel pretty safe about it, so I proceed to do so yet again. I have never been a fan of South Carolina's coach Steve Spurrier and I'm definitely not a fan of him when he has to game plan vs Alabama. Roll Tide Roll
South Carolina 35 Alabama 21 L
