What's the point?

I am starting my blog with a little something called Pickup's Picks. I am a huge sports fan so I want to put my knowledge to the test and see how I can pick versus' the spread for the entire season. I'm going to pick four games per week ( 2 college games, 2 NFL games) and keep a tally of how good ( or bad) I end up. I would say my general audience would of course be avid sports fans, but maybe somebody who is just getting a feel for football as well. It's all for fun so it's not like I'm losing real money here but at the same time it is going to be a good indicator to see how I would fair in the cold gambling world.
              My future plan is to educate those who don't really understand what the spread is and hopefully teach myself and the rest of the class how difficult it is to pick numerous winners each and every week. I hope this is something that will be fun for the class to enjoy and I'm excited to start making my picks this coming week.
